In this issue, I’ll teach you about the web part architecture and a bit of history before we go into the technical bits. Those technical bits include developing web parts, creating custom web part properties, connecting web parts, and finally working on the visual interface, including how to create a visual web part in SharePoint 2007 and 2010.
Oh yes, that also means this issue isn’t SharePoint 2010 specific. Although I show examples using SharePoint 2010, everything you learn applies equally to SharePoint 2007.
