From 1961 to 1975 the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency conducted a “secret” guerilla war in the Kingdom of Laos in Southeast Asia while the larger, more media-covered Vietnam War raged next door. It was the largest CIA operation during the Cold War and resulted in Laos becoming the most heavily bombed country in the history of air warfare.
