It is Fiona George birthday and her friends from the Culinary Club had planned to give her a special present – they are going to solve a mystery together. There had been a number of strange robberies at the Market Street and the women of the Culinary Club had every intention to find the criminals.
Fiona and her friends are about to start the mystery hunt, when another woman comes and announce that at the café, which had been robbed already twice, had been committed a murder. They all go there and see the dead man still lying on the floor of the café. Fiona tries to talk to the police, offering all the information they had on the robberies, because she is convinced that the robberies and the murder are connected.
The police refuses to listen to her, so the friends conduct their own investigation. They visit the owners of the café and then the man, who had been trying to buy the building. Too quickly it becomes obvious that the situation is more complicated than what they thought, and Fiona had to face her greater fears and go against the current.
