Forty years after the Cold War a rumour circulates that data records of secret agents and spies from all sides exists and is about to surface. Of the many agents and spies active in the 80’s more than a few are still active and holding high-ranking positions in sensitive agencies within Britain, America and Russia. Initially treated with scepticism, the active interest of an old spymaster running a Middle-Eastern network forces all of the agencies to treat the matter seriously.
The old spies responsible for the files disappear underground putting their grown-up daughter, Alice, under the protection of a retired British assassin. As the net draws closer Alice and her guardian are forced to flee into Europe where they continue to be hunted by the different agencies.
With no one left to trust, the assassin has to revert to his old career to keep them one step ahead, but he’s hampered by his own side, old wounds and an increasing attraction to his charge. Can he keep them both alive long enough to find out why they are being hunted?
The Cold War Affair is a romantic spy chase that will keep you gripped up to the very last page.
