This book is written to improve the basics or principles needed by any person engaged in developing a software product or working on a project of software development in any organization or even students related to software engineering or computer science – getting ways to understand all phases of Software Life Cycle; learning Object Orientation and Function Oriented Designs, Software Requirement and Specification, User Interface, Project Management, Testing, Maintenance.
In Requirement Analysis and Specification phase, we have a discussion with the customer to which we would be offering the finished software product – if the customer would be having problems with the product for the issues such as quality, reliability, confidentiality, it would not be good indicator for the future of any organization. And then, systematically, we document the requirements to the software requirement specification (SRS).After Requirement Analysis and Specification phase, there comes next Designing phase in which first of all, we do the Structural Analysis of the SRS before transferring it into the Structural Design-where we use the technique alike Data Flow Diagram (DFD) for the entire software while putting all the functions together and specifying data flows among them – and in the Structural Design, we may use functional oriented design or object oriented design.

The cost of any product is considered to be the summation of all the expenses incurred on manpower, software, hardware and other required resources. The manpower is considered to be persons engaged per months during developing any software product.
The other factor is quality which is a vital controlling factor for any business and in order to keep It ongoing there are correctness, reliability, efficiency, testability, maintainability, flexibility, portability, reusability, interoperability.

Here the whole model can be subdivided into several components or functions– each component is well tested, incrementally integrated and tested until the final product is delivered to the customer.
But there might be several problems which could not be further subdivided – such type of modeling would not work then – is very useful for large problems.
In such type of model, several iterations are used until final version or product is delivered to the customer and in each iteration, there are four phases: objective, risks which might occur and later on removed, verification done, interaction with customer if his/her requirement going to meet or not.
This model is understood to have the mixture of all the previous models.

If we want a positive response, there must be project managers related to different departments in any organization - planning manager to have planning for the same, risk management to think about ‘how to control risks or errors during any phase of its life cycle of any project or product‘, project monitoring manager to monitor a project every point of its development.
