The reason for writing this eBook was to share with you what I have learned through the process of designing, creating, building and managing my own Wordpress websites. The first website I used for my online art gallery business some years ago was built by a professional website designer. I had complete input into the visual aspects, but he provided all the technical expertise. I sat with him for hours upon hours as he demonstrated all the ins and outs of building and managing the site. Although it didn’t actually cost me an arm and a leg, I remember thinking that I would love to learn to build one myself.
I have written this book in a very straightforward and simple way. I have logged and explained the process of how to build your own website from scratch using a chronological, step by step approach. I have included illustrations in the form of screenshots for each step of the process and, as you will see, I have built a website from scratch as I go along through the book for demonstration purposes.
You will need no previous knowledge at all of how to build a website. I have made the process so incredibly simple by breaking it down and presenting it in an uncomplicated way. Relating the process to building a website from a business owner’s perspective was my intention. But having said and done that, this book and the instructions herein, will be applicable to anyone wishing to build their own website for whatever reason. To have our own website is another tool in our arsenal if we run a business. It can be used as a small part of your promotional package, letting people know you exist.
