This book is an advanced manual that gives in-depth instruction about the creation and composition of original cocktails. It provides a general analysis of fundamental cocktail components and the part each of these plays in the scheme of the modern cocktail. This material assumes that those who read it are already fully conversant with alcohol types, basic cocktail nomenclature and the art of the bar. Thus it begins where the majority of cocktail books leave off and introduces those familiar with basic bartending to the concepts of mixology and the art of original cocktail creation.
