    About

When I fished with Captains Jeff and Mary Poe at Big Lake Guide Service on Calcasieu Lake near Lake Charles, Louisiana, Mary prepared Broiled Stuffed Flounder that we caught that day. This is one of those dishes that you can hurt yourself with, because the fish, the crab meat and all the other ingredients mixed together and stuffed into a flounder that’s then broiled are so delicious that your taste buds keep telling you, “Eat more” when your stomach is saying, “You fool; you’re already full.” This recipe should come with a warning that says, “Expect to overeat this Broiled Stuffed Flounder.” I love to catch saltwater fish and just as importantly, I love to eat saltwater fish. Hang on to your seat when you try the Black Bean Fish Taco recipe. I bet you can’t eat just one. These are some of our favorite recipes that we’ve enjoyed for years that have been shared with us by some of the greatest captains and seafood cooks in the nation. We know you’ll enjoy “13 Saltwater Recipes You Can’t Live Without…” and recommend you try the other “13 Recipes You Can’t Live Without” collection, including seafood, freshwater fish, deer and wild turkey. Good fishing and good eating.
