ALPHA SHORTHAND, THE EASY ALPHABETIC SHORTHAND
Alpha Shorthand, a self-teaching book contains my original alpha symbolic speeded writing system first offered in 1974 and in popular use today by people in several countries in business, law, research and university settings.
STUDENTS AND EMPLOYEES learn this mainly alphabetic shorthand for better grades and faster work! Anyone with a basic command of English can learn my shorthand notewriting and use it daily.
LESSONS. Lessons normally take 3 to 5 minutes, doing them casually. If you do all exercise words and phrases, you will probably spend no more than 10 to 15 minutes each lesson. Within a few hours practice, many users of this shorthand learn the entire book. The book is SHORT with 17 lessons, and LONG with advanced material and tips at end.
SPEED. You can easily obtain speed fast enough for classroom, lecture or research notetaking, about 40-80 words per minute.
If you want FASTER SPEEDS, just do more practice with most everything you write. Speeds naturally happen as you practice. You can get sufficient speed needed for journalist reporter or secretary dictation work in the range of 80 to 125 words per minute (wpm). I have "advanced" lessons for anyone wanting even faster speeds. Remember: You can usually complete a full lesson in UNDER 15 MINUTES which includes exercises.
EASY. Since Alpha Shorthand seems INTUITIVE, using your normal grasp of English, you will pick it up really fast.
