"To reduce prescription drug costs, 12.6% of adults between the ages of 18 and 64 said they did not take medications as prescribed; they delayed filling prescriptions, skipped doses, or took less per dose. Among adults under age 65, this cost reduction strategy was reported by 23% of uninsured adults, 13.6% of Medicaid beneficiaries, and 8.7% of adults with private health insurance coverage. About 5.8% of adults over age 65 reported using this strategy to reduce prescription drug costs...
