Conversational Spanish - The Beginner Collection
Course Four, Lessons 16-20
**THE KINDLE VERSION IS AN OPTIONAL TEXT COMPANION TO ACCOMPANY THE AUDIOBOOK**
INTENDED FOR STUDENTS WHO POSSESS A BASIC LEVEL OF SPANISH.
The Conversational Spanish audio series is intended to supplement a beginner Spanish learning program, and works by improving listening comprehension, vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammatical skills through listen-and-repeat style active learning sessions. Please note this is not a standalone Spanish instruction program, and it requires that students already have some familiarity with elementary Spanish for best results. An introductory Spanish class, a first course in Pimsleur™ or Rosetta Stone™, or similar preparation is recommended. The Kindle version is an optional resource that includes manuscripts of the audio sessions, and is provided for students to simultaneously build reading comprehension and visual-auditory word associations.
Designed for self-taught language learners, Fluent Penguin picks up where Pimsleur™ and Rosetta Stone™ leave off. By exposing you to a wide variety of translated conversations in everyday situations, Fluent Penguin builds your vocabulary and intuitive recognition of grammar, sentence structure, and idiomatic phrases.
Modelled after the proven and effective Pimsleur™ method of language learning, Fluent Penguin conversational collections employ context-driven recall techniques to help you anchor new vocabulary and phrases to the situations in which you will use them. All lessons are in audio format, and use subtle repetition and meaningful associations to maximize retention of new information.
Each collection consists of conversations about common topics, ranging from work scenarios to current events, leisure activities and travel. Each statement in a conversation is first narrated in English, then spoken by native voice actors in a variety Spanish accents. Time is provided after each statement for you to repeat aloud and hone your pronunciation.
Conversation lessons range from 20-30 minutes in length. The following conversational topics are introduced in The Beginner Collection, Course Four:
Skydiving
Choosing A Gift
Seeing A Musical
Trey's new Job
Video Games
