This is official Amazon Web Services (AWS) documentation for the Elastic Load Balancing service. Elastic Load Balancing automatically distributes your incoming application traffic across multiple targets, such as EC2 instances. It monitors the health of registered targets and routes traffic only to the healthy targets. Elastic Load Balancing supports two types of load balancers: Application Load Balancers and Classic Load Balancers. The User Guide provides a conceptual overview of Elastic Load Balancing and information about the differences between Application and Classic Load Balancers. This documentation is offered for free here as a Kindle book, or you can read it online or in PDF format at http://aws.amazon.com/documentation/elastic-load-balancing/.
