Digital book publishing has provided authors with a way to self-publish with a low or zero marginal cost. The author, as the publisher, is responsible for book design. There are multiple target environments such as CreateSpace, Kindle, and other ePub outlets. Each has sometimes subtle differences in design and format to accommodate marketing as well as visual display. How to organize a writing project using either Scrivener or MS Word is detailed in this book so that writing and editing is done in one format in one place. Each target output format is setup in a separate file each referencing the same source. The Author edits in one place with a screen edit format then outputs the finished text and graphics in multiple target formats.
