First Puppy's New Home
"First Puppy's New Home" is the preschool version (ages 2 to 5) of "First Dog of 1600 Pooch'lvania Avenue - My First Year in Arf !Arf! Office!," a book that follows the life of the Obama's puppy, Bo, from the kennel to the White House.
Preschoolers will enjoy and relate to "First Puppy's New Home." And what a special home it is–the White House! We see Bo playing with kids at his kennel, getting excited when he hears the President's family is looking for a new dog, and flying to the White House, where he meets the Obama daughters--and they meet Bo's slurpy tongue and get lots of wet doggie kisses. Then Sasha and Malia show Bo around the White House. There are so many rooms, and Bo gets so thirsty. (And you get to help him find his bowl of water.) After a long day, Bo, his huge tongue, and the First Daughters all get ready for bed. Kids will get a glimpse inside the White House and, most importantly, learn that puppies, just like all kids, want a safe home and a loving family.
This book, the second in a series of First Dog books E- Published by Big Balloon Animation and Children's Media, has enlarged illustrations from the original and preschool sized fonts for earlier readers.
In the spirit of the President's commitment to community involvement, First Puppy gives us an opportunity to give back to our community by donating 10% of the net profits to the ASPCA and other animal rights groups. An edition of the book is also available for ages 6 to 10 as "First Dog of 1600 Pooch'lvania Avenue - My First Year in Arf Arf Office," available on Amazon and Amazon Kindle.
