A little girl named Maribel is given a magic shell. With it she visits Santa at the North Pole. Santa and Mrs. Claus invite Maribel to fly with Santa in his sleigh all around the world on Christmas Eve. She learns the true meaning of Christmas.
She also has adventures with Eskimos, dogs, polar bears, whales, and other animals of the sea.
