Madayya and Sadayya are two comical characters.They are spies of the Pallavan emperor mahendravaraman in 640 AD.They capture the aswametha horse of the chalukyan emperor which means WAR.Now they have to convey this news to the emperor and discuss with him.So they start a jouney from Mamallapuram to Kanchipuram.Enroute they encounter dragons,centaurs,ogres,anacondas and dinosaurs .Also they discuss the mythological stories about the places enroute.Mahendravarman gives tough fight to Pulikesi but is ultimately defeated and dies.His son Narasimhavarman gets revenge by waging a war on Pulikesi after nine years aided by his brave chieftain Paranjothi.
