Life on Grandpa’s Farm

Life on Grandpas's Farm is narrated by a boy named Michael who spends his time with Grandpa helping out on the farm. Michael shares his interactions with the animals on his daily walks and speaks of the sounds that animals make. The book shows colorful photos of horses, cows, pigs, sheep, chickens, roosters, owls, birds, wild flowers, bugs, and by-products, such as eggs and milk. Teachers and parents can work with children in identifying farm animals, making the sounds of animals, and learning to recognize the written name of each. This is the third book in a series; Grandpa's Farm Growing Vegetables and Grandpa's Farm Growing Fruit. The books are a good depictions of farm life, the dedication to work and family life, and the results of hard work on a farm.
