Winnie Maxwell is an independent and determined young lady, who passes the carefree summer days meticulously tending to the vegetables in her garden, most particularly the carrots. Intrigued by the strange activities of her odd neighbor, Professor Guberman, she sneaks a peak into his basement laboratory one morning and notices a luscious looking strawberry of gigantic proportions. Temptation gets the better of her, and she gets more than she bargained for after slipping into Professor Guberman’s laboratory and borrowing a bottle of red liquid which she believes will help her vegetables grow to enormous size. The situation spins quickly out of control in an unexpected manner, and Winnie must apply all of her ingenuity and perseverance to get herself out of her sticky predicament.
