    About

In this biography Jack is faced with dealing the break up of a two year relationship. This relationship was secret because Jack was fourteen years old and the woman, Katie was twenty-four. When they met she was divorced, had a three year old child of her own and lived with her parents. Jack lived with two older sisters and his single mom who lived paycheck to paycheck. His only escape was the park district where was able to engage in sports and activities to keep him away from neighborhood gangs and drugs. Once he met Katie it was love at first sight and they were together everyday for nearly two years. Jack became weary of the secret routine and when he was sixteen most of his friends were dating and going to high school dances. He wanted more from the relationship and when she denied him of any normalcy he left her. He had hoped it would have shown her how serious he was about having a normal relationship and show would come back to him. Instead, she never called him and when he begged her to take him back she said no. He takes us through his journey flashing through a couple of years of how he deals with his isolated pain. He became completely helpless, angry and self blaming, until he was numb. He lost whatever he once was and fooled himself to believing that he finally moved on.
