Forced to flee from a raging fire in his woodland home this little field vole faces danger at every turn. On his journey to find a new home he meets a street wise village mouse who introduces vole to his friends as well as many other unusual and strange things including catapults, cats, party etiquette, cheese, fermented fruit, matches, mousetraps and human behaviour - and also how to exploit it.
