What if virtually everything most everyone believes about the Adam Walsh case is wrong?
The police and the Walshes said Adam’s killer was Ottis Toole. Jeffrey Dahmer couldn’t have killed Adam Walsh because he didn’t fit his M.O., he wasn’t interested in children of Adam’s age, 6.
Here’s the result of ten years of independent research into this case:
•In the words, below, of a book reviewer, “the holes [Harris] has punched in the case against Ottis Toole as Adam's killer are grave and substantial.” Ottis Toole’s story to Hollywood police is simply not to be believed, and after the police’s own investigation, they, too, disbelieved it.
•Dahmer’s “M.O.” is actually only what Dahmer said it was. Other evidence shows he was an opportunistic predator who pursued vulnerable victims beyond his “M.O.” Dahmer was a lifetime liar who was effective at tricking others, especially in authority. To believe he admitted all his crimes shows willingness to be deceived.
•Dahmer was in South Florida when Adam was kidnapped. Twenty days before Adam disappeared, a Miami police report shows Dahmer reported a dead man in the alley behind where he worked, 20 minutes from the mall where Adam was last seen. At that mall, when Adam was taken, seven witnesses say they saw Dahmer.
•In the Walsh case investigative files, now public record, there is no evidence that Adam Walsh is dead. Although a child’s head discovered two weeks after Adam disappeared was quickly declared to be him, it is now possible to re-examine that ID. In his famous “Missing” picture, Adam had neither top front tooth (the central incisors). In his last-seen-alive description, his left top front tooth had just erupted but not his right top front tooth. Immediately on each side of the top central incisors, he had both teeth (the lateral incisors). However, the found child’s top left front tooth was mostly in, its top right front tooth had just erupted, and it had lost both its top lateral incisors. See Book Two for details and photos, but the found child’s teeth don’t match Adam’s.
•Did no one in the case notice this? All the files are missing three documents essential to prove the death of the victim as Adam Walsh: although an autopsy was done, the medical examiner who performed it never filed a narrative report; although the dead child was ID’d primarily by its teeth, there is no evidence that a forensic dental report was ever commissioned; and Adam’s pediatric dental record, handled by Hollywood Police and two medical examiners’ offices, is missing from all those files. Because of these absences in the official files, there could never be a prosecution against anyone for killing Adam.
•If the child who was declared dead is not Adam Walsh, could Adam possibly be alive? That is the premise of Book Two. A man who contacted me via Facebook clearly seems to be him. He has met with Hollywood Police and tried to speak to the Walshes but no one has done the investigation I have. He says that Dahmer took him from the mall, brought him to a house and tortured him for weeks until he was rescued, near death. I was able to corroborate enough he told me to convince me that he is, indeed, Adam Walsh, and that his Dahmer story is true. I had two people interview him: the man who had been Adam’s best friend up to when he disappeared, and a man who Dahmer had tortured and effectively imprisoned for more than a year, just before Dahmer came to Florida. With the best friend, “A.W.” at length perfectly described their friendship, including specifics of stories that happened between them. With the Dahmer survivor, A.W. equally well described specifics of Dahmer’s manners and tics at his most evil. None of this was available by research or is well-known.
•It is difficult to explain how A.W. is not Adam Walsh. To resolve this definitively, I end Book Two asking the Walshes to meet with A.W. and to submit their DNA for a comparison.
