    About

This is a 4,500 word illustrated monograph of the FBI and its war on the enemies within. some call this "Cliffs Notes for busy people."
The FBI solved so many espionage cases during the mid-1980s that the press dubbed 1985 "the year of the spy." The John Walker spy ring, Richard Miller, Jonathan Pollard, William Pelton, and Robert Hanssen, and other Americans perpetrated the most serious espionage damage uncovered by the FBI. In the vast majority of cases money, not ideology drives the perpetrators to these treasonous acts.
Spy recruiters look for one of four vulnerabilities in a potential recruit. They use the acronym MICE: the person needs Money; they are Ideologically driven, they can be personally Compromised, or they have a big Ego.
