The sequal to Both Sides of the Force. The continuing story of a barely adequate police officer's experiences in a number of police force areas. It goes from the City of London, to Harrogate, thence to Ashford in Kent and finally to Brighton. It goes from PC to sergeant, back to PC, then returns to sergeant and finally inspector. It covers patrol work, CID, a district training centre, back to patrol, then to HQ, patrol, process, control rooms, a successful attempt not to join the helicopter unit, to Gatwick and finally to the ID Unit. Well, almost finally, there was a bit of a mess at the end. Warts and more warts are exposed, as well as some of the fun that was always going to accompany a bloke who who tried hard to be adequate.
