Based on the true life journey of Mrs Mary M. James Anderson, an African American Trailblazer, who became the owner of several thriving beauty salons, and was the first to invent the permanent cold wave for African American hair. She was also the owner of an international accredited beauty college. Mrs. Anderson was also the first female, black, or white to head the European Hair Care Program for the Army & Air Force Exchange Services.
