    About

This story is about the author's meaningful 28 yearlong journey with her Koto, a Japanese string instrument. The author was born and grew up in Japan. She lives now in America with her family. Previously, she lived in Japan and Germany. During her stay in Germany, she rediscovered the soothing sound of Koto. Since then, the Koto has become an inspirational metaphor of connection to the children and adults that she has encountered on her journey. The sound of Koto is a story of appreciation about what we have and who we are.
