The Americans TV series comes hard. The Jennings are an all-American family just like any other – apart from mom and dad being secret agents sworn to destroy America and all she stands for. Trained in the Illegals Program at the fabled Directorate S to blend seamlessly into American society, young KGB officers Mischa and Nadezhda become Philip and Elizabeth Jennings raising a family in Reagan's America all the while waging a war as cold as a Siberian tiger's ballbag. Twitchy informants, mouthy dissidents and tenacious Feds conspire to test their personal and professional relationship to its limit. That's before we even talk about that three-post ment Claudia. Seriously, what is it with that broad?
TV critic James Donaghy guides you through all the mayhem, subterfuge and casual betrayal whether it's at the Bureau, the Rezidentura or Casa Jennings. Intrepid, ballsy and brash he has the unforgiving contempt of the true fan on a secret mission to make your Kindle a filthy pit of lies, innuendo and puerile puns and in doing so offer insight and commentary into one of the best shows on TV.
PLEASE do not read if you have any trace of human decency, sensitivity or good intention towards your fellow man. This probably won't be your thing. The rest of you scumbags: have at it.
