LET ME BE A HAMLET ME BE A HAM (to perform or not to be)

Diego, who has been given the keys to an apartment on Central Park solely so that he can look after a tortoise called Ophelia, takes advantage of the fact to rent out three rooms. To Peter, to ugly Barbara and to Cynthia. The actor Hamlet, owner of the apartment returns secretly as the mobster Al Boccione will kill him. Cynthia discovers that Barbara had spent a night in bed with the film producer Bill Hawks. Diego will insert a character to be played by Hamlet. Diego, after have rewritten the screenplay, learns that the producer has decided to reset the film during the civil war. Barbara discovers Hamlet, who find her presence suffocating. in order to free himself of her, Hamlet persuades Peter to go to bed with Barbara. Bill arrives and says that the story must now be set during the Korean war. The disillusionment drives Hamlet to suicide. As he is about to shoot himself, Al Boccione bursts in, planning to kill him. They argue over who is going to pull the trigger.
