This is a knitting pattern for a lovely delicate lace stitch baby christening gown. It is based on shawls used in the Victorian and Edwardian era, the time of Downton abbey and the Titanic. All the instructions are written, and when made up it is very beautiful. The nice thing about this shawlis that there is no sewing up to do when fished- the border is not knitted separately
Please note that it is made in a fine yarn and so will take time and patience to complete- but when its is finished you will have a beautiful heirloom, gift to treasure. Vintage Visage offer a full backup email guidance if needed for all of our vintage inspired patterns.
