Reading and listening is a good way to improve your vocabulary. Don't look at the English translation and try to read fluently. The exercises might be to easy sometimes, but you have to admit: One always forgets vocabulary anyway, so use this book to repeat important words and grammar. Also, you learn German the way it's really spoken & used in Germany.
