The author, Kirsten Anderberg, a Los Angeles native, illustrates these public sites with over 200 photos she has taken herself, and adds historical narrative to enhance the sites. Anderberg earned her M.A. Degree in CA History from CA State University at Northridge in 2010 and has a deep interest in local history. The author gives clear directions to each site, explains any intricacies to the area, and also talks about historical significance.
