The SunPedal Ride is an adventurous travel memoir about a journey of 79 days and 7424 kilometres in summer 2016 across North West India on a solar powered bicycle by Sushil Reddy and a support vehicle with a team comprising of Krunal Tailor, Rajendra Bhaskar and Himanshu Singh.
In May 2016, the graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT-B), Sushil Reddy, set off on his hybrid bicycle to raise awareness about solar energy as a sustainable energy source. Seventy nine days later, he had pedaled across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Delhi — and earned a Guinness World Record for the longest journey on a motorized bicycle. The four of them took off on a journey of a lifetime with a mission and the cause to raise awareness about solar energy among the people of India.
