DCI James Hayes of the Metropolitan Police Force has been seconded to Central Police Division CID of the Singapore Police Force for 6 months. Bored with the mundane cases he has investigated during his first few weeks in Singapore, he considers requesting that his attachment be cancelled so he can return to London. That is until a fellow Police Officer disappears without any logical reason.
