Welcome to The Science of Ageing Backward-ReGeneration-X
ReGeneration-X was formulated by two working naturopaths, Roderick Lane and Elizabeth Bright. Roderick has a flourishing practice in the UK dealing with thyroid and endocrine issues. Elizabeth has a similar practice in Italy dealing with both endocrine issues and naturopathic body adjustment.
Roderick Lane is the founder of the London College of Naturopathic medicine, the author of the Adam and Eve Diet and is a highly respected lecturer on diet and Naturopathic medicine.
Elizabeth Bright speaks regularly on women’s health issues and is the guest Naturopath on Mi Presento, Sono Donna! a television show dedicated to educating women about natural health.
Why ReGeneration-X?
Some time ago, Pierre Mattia, the retired amateur cycling champion who raced both in Italy and the United States, approached us with certain health issues. So successful was the nutritional and dietary schedule we produced for him that he inspired and encouraged us to write this book!
The term, Generation X, was actually coined by photographer Robert Capa in the early 1950s, but these days, most people understand it to refer to the generation born after the Western post World War II baby boom: the period between the early 1960s and the early 1980s. ReGeneration-X is, therefore, for those to whom youth may be a distant memory but who still hope to keep healthy and active into and beyond retirement. After the revitalising effects of the ReGeneration-X program, you may find yourself thinking, do I have to retire at all?
ReGeneration-X is not just another diet book. And it’s definitely not for gym-bunnies looking to strip body fat to achieve that highly-sculpted look. Originally designed as a program of regeneration for a retired athlete who needed to reduce his weight, blood pressure and elevated cholesterol prior to surgery to replace his badly damaged hip, it is based around the actual experiences of real people with health issues.
Who is ReGeneration-X for?
The ReGeneration-X program and the lifestyle it promotes is about regenerating and not degenerating. You could say it is the graceful art of ageing backwards. Have you ever sat in front of the television watching a sports or exercise program and said to yourself, I can do that, only to remember, miserably, that you no longer can. If so, ReGeneration-X is for you.
Within the pages of this book you will discover how to address many of the problems traditionally associated with ageing, such as: anxiety, lack of vitality, yo-yoing blood-sugar levels, high blood pressure and unwanted weight gain.
The bottom line is, if you are seeking to return to health, to control weight issues, to get back the energy you once had and to stabilise your blood sugar levels without resorting to drug intervention, the ReGeneration-X lifestyle program is for you, because it works.
