This is book 19 in "The Right Thing" series. While it might be best to read these books in order, they are written in a way a reader can understand and enjoy each book individually. In this book former sheriff Sue Davis Lang sees the story of a young black man shot by a police officer in Cleveland. All is well until the Reverend Hal Horton arrives and stirs up trouble. Sue can not accept the man's self serving interference so she travels to Cleveland to see what she can do to shut him up. She uses unusual methods to uncover his plot fuel the riots and extort money from business leaders.
