Do You Love True Crime Books? “Show No Fear” has all the action you need!

    Show No Fear Redux

This is as close as the ordinary person will ever get or will ever want to get to the insular, dark and violent world of the nightclub bouncer. This is the real deal, a no holds barred account.

Bill is a good guy in tough world and you will see how the violence begins to alter his mind set.

“A short conversation or argument is generally the precursor to a fight, although sometimes your adversary can just start swinging after very little or sometimes no verbal sparring. There are some real nutters out there.” Bill Carson.

So if you are ready grab your baseball bat, pull on your body armour, bite down on your gum shield and follow Bill on his journey and enter the shady, dangerous realm of nightclub bouncers. This book is preordained to be a cult classic, this is a must read, quite simply a bouncer’s bible.

˃˃˃ Combat magazine book review. By Editor Malcolm Martin.

In 1993 Bill Carson was a night shift worker into weight training and martial arts, unhappy with his wage packet. That summer he decided to supplement his earnings with some door work, and kept a diary on the job.

    What’s the book about?

This is the result of that diary, a book that delves into the murky world of the bouncer from Bill’s personal perspective. Bill worked the doors for five years and the book collects some of the more 'colourful’ incidents during that period.

    What’s good about it?

If you like Geoff Thompson’s earlier biographical work, then this will be right up your street. The book is full of vivid encounters, unsavoury characters and ripe language, told in a personable manner with a measure of wit.

    Conclusion.

There has always been a market for this type of true crime book and Show No Fear Redux makes all the right noises, and is a fast paced compact read. To put it bluntly Carson’s book is the dog’s B****cks!

˃˃˃ **** I thought this book was pretty cool.

My older brother was a bouncer at a strip club in Vegas for several years and the stories he told were mind blowing. I liked that this book did the same, and tells about real experiences and how people really act. It’s got some language and violence (of course), but it is a fun read.

    Goodreads review. Cayle.
