Fergie’s Song: This is a true story about Love

This is a true story about an amazing dog that impacted the lives of people in a wonderful way with her tremendous love. It is a heartwarming story about her life and the short time she spent here with us. I am a lifelong dog lover and over much of my life starting at birth have had a dog in our home. I write this as a tribute to the “greatest dog” I have ever known, Fergie. This is a true story about love, first hand by having had the pleasure of Fergie as a part of my life for the years we were blessed to have her. We raised her from a puppy, enjoying her love and companionship from the time she left the breeder for our home, until her short time on earth was over. The “greatest dog” fails to describe and characterize Fergie, who now runs free with her ancestors in doggy heaven chasing rainbows. It is with a broken heart that I sincerely share this story so that others can be touched by Fergie’s greatness, as defined not by the measureable achievements of man, but rather by the incredible gifts of joy and love she gave to everyone she touched. To fully understand how special she was requires getting to know her, and I will do my best to do so. This is the story of her life, her love, how she lived, and the memories and legacy she left behind.
