Raising a child with attachment disorder requires dealing with mental health professionals on all levels. But the parents must also deal with school officials, law enforcement, family, friends, church members, and neighbors. It's an overwhelming job filled with one crisis after another. Raising a child with RAD takes every resource and every ounce of strength and hope residing in the parent. It is like riding a roller coaster in the dark. Even when things are level and slowly moving along, you know another crisis is just ahead to take your breath away.
