My name is Natalie. I am a normal 26 year old who has never struggled to get pregnant but unfortunately has struggled to stay pregnant until full term. When I started this diary I knew that there was only one road left to follow if I was going to give my husband and i a baby. This was the road of IVF treatment. Its long and it’s a hard journey with lots of up’s but plenty more down’s.
I am not a professional writer, I do not know much about medicines, but I have been through the IVF process and my thoughts and feelings are real. If my diary helps just one person to get through the process then it was worth writing every word.
Infertility is unfortunately extremely common. According to my research 7% of married women are infertile by age 30, 11% by age 35, 33% by age 40 and 87% at age 45. 80% of these women will be able to conceive due to the help of modern treatment, but 20% will not.
