After having her previous two quests for her magical licence declared invalid, Nessa is forced to take up an apprenticeship in Hell. Working for her old friend Satan isn't so bad - running Hell, it turns out, is a lot like running a nightclub. Well, except for the dungeons out back that Nessa is forbidden from visiting.
Trouble is, Nessa thinks there might be someone in the dungeon who has what she wants: information. She's sure they can tell her why everyone from Satan to The Department of Magic and Death to the annoying (and slightly murderous) poltergeist Ed is so interested in her abilities.
But going behind Satan's back is not the safest of pursuits. Nessa's magic is powerful, but even she's not sure she wants to take on the Devil.
