Reiver

Resa meets Reiver in their first lecture, on their first day of a teacher-training course. He gives her his mints. She gives him her money. They adopt a dog, rescue a cat and move to the Shropshire boarding school they make their home. Reiver relishes the life of a schoolmaster - he loves chemistry almost as much as he loves Carlisle United - and his family flourishes in the close-knit college community.
