Q. In what ways is Jamie Flint different from the main character in your other series, Erin Solomon?
A. Jamie and Erin are very different beasts, to be sure. Where Erin is impulsive and often somewhat self-centered, Jamie is...well, a mom. Of necessity, I think the fact that she had her son Bear at such a young age forced Jamie to grow up quickly, and to think a little more cogently about the possible long-term impact of her actions. She's level headed most of the time (though that gets muddied a bit in THE DARKEST THREAD, when Bear's life is in danger), more private than Erin, and certainly a more spiritual woman.
Q. Will this series contain cliffhanger endings and a serialized mystery like the Erin Solomon novels?

A. No. While I think there's a definite place for serialized novels, and I actually have a 3-book serial in mind for Diggs & Solomon down the road, the Jamie Flint novels will all be standalone mysteries.

There are references to happenings in the Erin Solomon mysteries because Erin Solomon and Jamie Flint live in the same world, but you'll get the information you need to know about Jamie and Jack Juarez in this book.
