Raymond Patriarca became the supreme head of the New England Cosa Nostra by the 1960s. My e-book looks at his early years working for Warwick, Rhode Island mobster Carl Rettich. Patriarca was indicted multiple times for armed robbery of jewelry stores and postal trucks. It is likely that he murdered Andino Merola in Providence in 1935.
