"You’re really, really good at writing! I seriously wasn’t expecting that at all – no offence. I expected it to be boring. But it’s like all your best material in nice neat condensed form. It was such a pleasure to read, too! The way you’ve laid it out is really systematic and easy to digest. So I read it all. And it’s so funny!" Jake, student
“She got an A in the Maths and she's off to Oxford. We’re really grateful for all that you did for her. You were absolutely right for her at the right time and did absolutely what was necessary. The biggest plus of course was that she really liked you.” Mrs T, mother of Poppy
“I owe my university life to you. Your tuition was not just academic tuition, it was more like life tuition and it helped me get through some sticky situations. You offered invaluable life and academic advice; helping me make the right decisions.” Emraz, student
About me:
I have been teaching for over twenty years, at top-ranking schools including Charterhouse in Surrey and Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire, USA. I’ve been a private tutor for nine years, successfully helping hundreds of students achieve higher grades in their exams and gain entry to their preferred university.
I was a Kitchener Scholar at the University of Cambridge, where I was awarded an Entrance Prize by Trinity College and the Philpott Prize for a first class examination performance in Tort Law. I took a second degree in Mathematics with the Open University, where I won the Leslie Walshaw award for being the highest scoring student in Mathematical Methods and Models. And most recently I had to write a UCAS personal statement again when I applied to the University of York to study Physics – I was accepted!
