We’ve all heard the phrase “There’s an app for that”, but even if that were true do you know how to find them? This book is meant to help you find what to put on your Kindle Fire HD.
You can easily go to the Kindle App store on your Kindle (FYI, from your home screen, just tap on the Apps button near the top, and then tap on store), but you’ll have to spend hours reading through descriptions. It can be time consuming, but if that’s how you prefer it, then so be it!
I wrote this book to help those out who want an overview of what’s popular, what’s interesting, and what’s a little offbeat. What you’ll find here are descriptions and recommendations of apps I think you’ll like (over 100 of them). You obviously won’t find all the apps that are on Kindle. What I’ve tried to do is omit duplicate apps (so if there are three really great dictionary apps; then I only include what I think is the best one or two apps).
Chances are, there’s going to be some groups you’ll want to avoid (no sense reading about Kids apps when you don’t have kids, right?), so I’ve broken the book down into more than a dozen categories.
The Kindle Fire HD is a powerful device and I hope this book helps you decide what apps to get, but please remember, this book does not contain the actual app; this is just a guidebook to apps. Please also remember that prices frequently change, so the price you see here may be more or less then what’s on the store. You should also remember that ‘free’ isn’t always free; some free apps rely on ads while others expect you to buy things from within the app. Therefore, download at your own discretion.
As the Kindle Fire selection grows, I will do my best to keep this book fresh with new content.
