Ephraim Felix Sherf is a Holocaust survivor of the Transnistria Work Camp. He is 78 years old and retired. He left Romania on the ship “Penn-York”, “Independence. On December 21, 1947, he was expelled from Cypress and arrived in Famagusta on December 31, 1947. In Cypress he was head of the Zionist Youth Movement, secretary of the camp. He moved to Israel on March 15, 1948 and arrived on a ship named “Dolores”. He joined the “Scouts Organization” in Degania A, “Em Hakafuzot”
in Cfar Glickson, Even Yehuda and Ness Ziona. In 1950, he left the kibbutz and began to work with “Rasko” as treasurer. In 1985 he retired. He is married to Carmela and is father to Avigail-Gali, and Roni. He is grandfather to Noah, Roi, Dor, Shachar, and Shira. He lives with Carmela in Ramat Hasharon. He mostly writes lyrical-romantic
poetry such as “Memories from Father’s House”. In his free time he dabbles in the stock market. This book is a chronicle of his life. Israel is the realization of his boyhood dream.
