Are you frustrated being so talented while no one notices?
Become What You Were Meant To Be
By identifying your talents, you will be better able to fine-tune and enhance them in order to make an impact on your life, as well as the lives of others. Once you know where your talents lie, you can build your life around them.
Many believe that each person gets their particular gifts via nature and genetics. However, there are many people out there who can do things that neither of their parents are able to do. Following the same reasoning there are those who tried to perform at the same level of skill as at something but failed, yet after long hours of practice, they suddenly begin to excel at the skill that they originally fell short in.
Even though finding your talent often does involve relying on your natural abilities, some have been able to express aptitude at something by sheer dedication and hard work.
It’s important that your interests and talents come together in order for them to be fulfilling. But just because you’re interested in something, it does not mean that you will possess a talent for it. Famous speaker and author Ken Robinson calls finding the parallel between your interests and your talents as being your “Element.” Once you find this balance, it is easier for you to find an activity or a career that will better suit you and make you feel more fulfilled.
Practice Doesn’t Make Perfect It Makes The Best You
The sad fact is that a lot of people expect a talent to just come naturally and to make them successful overnight, but only very few people have this very unique character trait. One aspect of talent that people don’t seem to realize is that it needs to be practiced and shaped in order to work successfully for you.
Don’t just sit there and wait for your talent to magically make you famous or happy or you’re just going to be sitting there wasting the potential you obviously have.
A person must also want it to develop. If you think that by just wishing for it that it will work out for you, then you’re mistaken. Those who succeed with their talents have spent years and years practicing it. After hard practice, they may well finally become successful. This is a lifelong process that needs continued hard work and nurture.
99% of people you see successfully using their gifts didn’t just sit down and automatically make it work for them. They had to practice for years in order to get to where they are. Take a few minutes and think about the leading player on your favorite sports team. He or she just didn’t walk in and automatically turn into a sports star. They had to practice for years to get to where they are today. You still see that this athlete spends hours practicing to keep their and skills body in top shape.
