    About

Lucy’s journey begins in the tenements of Glasgow. The year is 1905. Britain is at the height of her post Victorian glory. Metropolitan Glasgow is a centre of wealth, education, culture, and, the inevitable poverty. Come, slip into Lucy’s world. Live in her times, with the people and circumstances that shaped her life, and propelled her across the ocean. Comfort her in her loneliness and hours of despair. Rejoice with her, when her heart overflows with happiness. Marvel at her patience and determination. Acknowledge and celebrate her achievements. To know Lucy is to love her.

Margaret Verdis lives in Toronto, Ontario. Following retirement from her career in the Life Insurance industry, she began writing biographical novels of family members as a legacy for her children and grandchildren. Her desire to bring the characters to life and to transport the reader to their world has become her all-consuming passion.
