Cloak and Dagger was a short-lived but excellent radio show that was broadcast on NBC in the summer and fall of 1950. An anthology show, it was based on a book of the same name and recounted the adventures of agents of the Office of Strategic Services during World War II. Taut and sharply written, the radio show emphasized that most agents were just average men and women who led average lives before the war. But as OSS agents, they are asked to act with courage, intelligence and cold-bloodedness as they carry out missions of sabotage and espionage. Cloak and Dagger was a suspenseful and exciting series that sadly did not find an audience when it first aired.
