THE BLADES: LAS VEGAS is part 6 of 6 in THE BLADES - SAS SPECIAL OPERATIONS FORCE short story series following Corporal Danny ‘Feathers’ Archer’s career from his first days as a member of the British Special Air Service Sabre Squadron Bravo Seven Troop.
The Blades: LAS VEGAS is approximately 27,500 words (85 Printed Pages) and a great short read.
8th September 2001. Following intelligence leads gathered by Bravo Seven in the unsanctioned Paris operation, Zara Scott, The British Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) Al Qaeda analyst identifies 5 radicalised British Muslims suspected of planning a Jihadist terrorist attack. After the British Attorney General refuses permission for S013 supported by the SAS to arrest the suspects in a dawn raid, Zara and Captain Tony ‘Tiger’ Lane are left struggling to discover the terrorist cell's intentions before they strike.
Having gained further intelligence provided by Tiger's source they discover the five suspects are planning to travel on false Saudi provided passports to Las Vegas on the morning of September 11th 2001.
With support from the CIA, the decision is taken by COBRA to allow the suspects to travel, the intelligence services believing the targets to be travelling to Las Vegas to carry out a terrorist operation.
Halfway through the flight as the attacks are made on the World Trade Centre in New York, Tiger and the rest of Seven Troop, undercover on-board the aircraft, are left with the difficult task of preventing the terrorist suspects from completing their planned atrocity.
