"If you are looking for action that is realistic while also opening up new worlds, these novels are brilliant. Each stands on it's own, but even better as a series. The author skillfully moves us from one tense setting to another, keeping a tight grip on suspense and packing twists and turns (and more than one huge surprise) into the non-stop action. The deployments and violence are realistic and the threats are right on the money to our contemporary landscape with the added para- themes to up the ante. The pacing is unrelenting. Very cinematic and engaging.."
